Safety Technology on the Ford Focus

The Ford Focus is a compact car that makes great gas mileage and is perfect for commuting to work or school. This little car is big enough to accommodate five adults, and they will have plenty of legroom. The engineers at Ford designed the Focus with some incredible safety technologies.

The new Focus is equipped with a lane keeping system. In this system, sensors monitor the Focus' position in the lane. If any lane drift is detected, an alert will be given so that you can bring the Ford car back into the proper driving lane.

Another important safety technology that is part of the new Ford Focus is the blind-spot monitoring system. Even with side mirrors, its not always possible to see cars coming up alongside you. The blind-spot monitor checks for cars in the blind-spots. If cars are detected when you want to change lanes, the system will alert you for safety.
