If your car has suddenly acquired a mysterious bad smell, or even if you know exactly where that bad smell came from, the consensus is that the smell needs to go. So to help you get rid of it as quickly and easily as possible, we have five methods you can try to de-smell your cabin. Take a look at the list below and, from all of us here at King Ford, we hope you can say goodbye to the stink and say hello to a great weekend.

  • Use a vacuum on all fabric surfaces to hopefully suck up the dirt and detritus causing the bad smell
  • If you can locate the area of the smell, pour some baking soda around to absorb the smell overnight
  • A piece of charcoal, like from your grill, can also be left in the cabin overnight to absorb the smell
  • Natural air fresheners, such as coffee grounds or a cotton ball dipped in vanilla - can be used to replace a bad smell with one that's more pleasant
  • If there's a pervading smell of gasoline in your car whether you're driving or parked, you might have a gas leak and will need to schedule a service appointment with our skilled technicians! Once you apply, they'll get back to you as soon as they can, get you in at a time that works for you, and fix the problem quickly and affordably.
